Just been writing a 2300 digits review on the original about how to fix it up a bit, just to find out you already did an hour later...still not quite what it could be IMO, but getting closer (even though the vote rating isn't too high, 0 bombz?).

Author's Response:

0 bombs ftl. I read your other review and it hit on some good points, thank you for taking the time!

"Whahh!"

date: August 3, 2008

Alright...very energetic!! Just blows me away.
I know the melody from something as well though, vaguely reminds me of Rayman 2, but as I just briefly checked all of it's songs and didn't recognise it, this is either a very butchered up melody of it, or something diffirent.
Bpm is a little faster than normal, keeps it going. Strong beat, and AWESOME claps/snares(what are those called?) at 0:12, love those :) Synth is also very solid and strong. Blame the few who voted low and were too cowardly to leave a review! >:(
Although it is a little repetetive
----------
Haha I didn't think abyone would realize it's the same riff again and again, thought I could sneak it by XD
----------
Argh! lol, why did you have to do that?! Throw in a little melodical progression as you said earlyer, but don´t dare fiddling with the sounds you have right now lol, you can only mess up.
Straight 10 and 5/5, fav'd and dl'ed.

Haha maybe I'll tack a chorus in it or something :P

"Argh"

Would you stop submitting faster than I can listen? XD
Anyway, I'll leave a review on this one, as I'm quite sure I can't leave anything new that's still helpful on the other ones you recently submitted.
Anyway, on to the song.

(after listening through one time, and listening again now as I write)
Intro synth sounds a little awkward, like you're close, but not where you should be, it doesn't shine. 0:25, another awkward synth, either needs quite some work, or should be replaced/left out I think. Drums are soft, quiet, more like ambient than DNB drums, sure, it goes well with the song, but doesn't meet expectations, and the ratings show that.
Skipping a part in my review (nothing to say), piano comes in, I like it, but it's a little too simple. 1:37, another instument, also, you missed the gold spot here in my opinion, it doesn't blend in with the general feel all too well.
Winding down to the ending, nothing epic to be seen here, but it feels like a well constructed ending, no 'hey, where'd the song go' feeling.

All in all, I'm not too positive about this one, after hearing what you CAN do.
I'm not too sure what to say about it, but it feels like it could use a little more agressive drums, as well as perhaps a little more fast paced melodies. No speeding up, just making a generally more fast feeling, err...how to word this...a few 16ths if you're only using 8ths now, several 32nds if you're using 16ths, etc. (am I even making sence at all now?...no idea, it's 1am and I'm already lacking sleep, go figure.)

Well, anyway (yeah, last bit, I think), after writing this (which took 5-6 listens through the whole thing - I take long, I know), I'm starting no notice it's actually quite repetetive, and leaves you behind sord of empty, craving for more. I'm positive you could cook up something pretty nice out of this if you spend some extra time on this, but I'm not sure if it's going to be so nice that it's worth the time.
All in all...argh...

Author's Response:

Thanks for the long review man.

I don't think I'm gonna do anything more to eitehr version of the song though, I ran out of inspirtaion on this one.

Maybe in a few weeks I'll revisit it though, and it will be epic.

Heavenly Tears - F-777

"Hmm...what to say..?"

date: July 26, 2008

A straight ten, I can tell you that!
My mind is a little empty at the moment, so I can't comment on too much about the song, the words won't form...perhaps I should save this review for later, but good chance I'll forget about it then, so here goes nothing...

The intro gives away there's something good waiting for you right away, I like the fade in the piano, and the bass coming in at around :12 add to that.
The wind/breeze sounds fit in very good as well. At first I thought the siren was a little high, but it goes with the general feel of the song very well. There are no spots that feel crowded or empty, everything is balanced, and very satesfying to listen to.
I can't find any spots where I might be able to suggest something, you simply can't improve on this one :)
Hey, I managed to type something out after all, yay for me (and you of course), keep producing great stuff!

[DjBjra] - Free Burrito DnB

":p lol...this is wierd"

date: July 26, 2008

So you made a song for a free burrito..cool
It is somewhat weird though, I expected real loud trumpets as you hear them in orchestras and the like, but I suppose that wouldn't have turned out too well lol.
if the song wasn't restricted to one style, I think I would've gone with classical seen the instruments, but yeah...this is fine too (although a 'little' expirimental).

Yeah, Still waiting for the person to actually pull through lol.

"Doing good :)"

date: July 26, 2008

:P I won't be a trend breaker, so this is the 13th 10 review in a row on this song, so you must be doing something good, that much is clear.
At first I thought it didn't appeal to me that much, but at 0:30 then the synth changed and it kept me interested, then when the piano(or something like it) comes in the song changes a little, not the bad way though :)
Whatever you did with the lead melody at 1:46, I like it, it turns even better a minute later!.
All over a very good song, not something I'd listen 10 times in a row, as I'm not a great fan of the original (don't even like it at all to be honest), so it wouldn't be possible to make a remix that I like 100%, but even so, it's an enjoyable song.
(Hmmm this review probably came out not as I wanted it to, but that's with most things I do :S)

P.S: you send out pm's to everyone manually? i've always thought it was a feature to send it to everyone at once (perhaps it is though, but you're not using it, I can't know)

July 26, 2008

Author's Response:

Nope, gotta send all the damned messaged manually lol. Takes me forever. And I can only send 20 every 5 minutes

but cool, very strange song indeed, strongly reminds me of the flashbulb somehow, all the quick drums and stuff, not much to improve, but maybe another background melody would do it justice.

"Flying Away" - F-777

"Whoah"

date: May 11, 2008

The beginning blew me away, awesome powerful sound. The synth that comes in at 0:33 could have been used a bit more IMO, the buildup right after it is a nice distraction, but a bit early (maybe paste another cycle infront of it if you decide to extend this.)
There's a part I really like in the fadeout, mostly because of the extra sound that you added there.
Overall everything goes together VERY well, just could've been a little longer, so do extend it, and it will be a 10

I will take your suggestions =).
